New Engagements

  1. Fourth Dimension engaged in conducting Social Audit of Mid Day Meals in 40 sample primary and middle schools in Bihar. Social Audit is a democratic process where beneficiaries (parents, students, school management committee) demand information to verify food grain and fund allocation, expenditure and utilization from the duty holders and MDM implementing agencies. Public Hearing after SA enhances the quality of MDM and brings multiple perspectives and also addresses issues of equity and equality.
  2. India needs to create quality vocational universities and offer mobility by modularity between certificates, diplomas, degrees and multi- modal delivery via physical campuses, apprenticeships and distance learning. Fourth Dimension is preparing a vision and feasibility document to help set up a private university in Barmer.
  3. Fourth Dimension is engaged with end of project evaluation of a three year project titled Sustainable solutions in the fight against child labour in home-based craft production. The project has been implemented by Traidcraft Exchange, Centre for Education and Communication, Fair Trade Forum India In western Uttar Pradesh, which includes the districts of - Agra, Ferozabad, Moradabad, Saharanpur and Buland Shahar and second area is National Capital Region (including Noida, Gurgaon) of Delhi. The evaluation has been designed to assess the project against its own stated goals and objectives and to derive learning for Traidcraft and its partners, identify impact and ways it can be sustained and provide an analysis of the extent to which project funds have been used efficiently and effectively.
